How to create Opportunities and when to use?

In Birdie, creating an Opportunity allows you to transform specific insights from customer feedback into structured analyses. You can create Opportunities to quantify identified problems, explore emerging trends, or organize feedback by specific themes to facilitate strategic decision-making.

Main ways to create Opportunities

In Birdie, there are two main ways to create an Opportunity:

  • From an Area of Interest: If you have already identified a problem you want to quantify and explore;
  • Via Skye chat: Using the AI assistant to discover and add new Opportunities automatically.

Creating Opportunities from an Area

1. Access the Area of Interest: Navigate to the Area where you want to create the Opportunity;

2. Click on "Add Opportunity": Locate and click the corresponding button;

3. Fill in title and description: Provide a clear title and detailed description for the new Opportunity.

Creating Opportunities via Skye

1. Ensure the context: Be within an Area or existing Opportunity;

2. Ask Skye to search for Opportunities: Use the chat to request that she identify new Opportunities;

3. Click on "+Add": In the list presented by Skye, click the "+Add" button for the desired Opportunity.

Practical Example

Scenario: You identified that customers are complaining about difficulties finding information about fees in the app.

Opportunity Title: "Difficulty finding information about fees";

Opportunity Description: "Customers reporting difficulties finding information about fees in the app, specifically about where to view the maintenance fee";

Rules used to select feedback:

  • Include: Feedback where the customer expresses not having found information about fees.
  • Exclude: Feedback that only deals with the fee amount, without mentioning difficulty in locating the information.

    💡 Best Practices

    • Focus on customer behavior: Describe what you expect to identify in customer comments and how they talk about the topic;
    • Use clear and objective language: Avoid generic or vague descriptions, be specific about the context and type of feedback;
    • Include inclusion or exclusion rules: Add clear guidance on what should or should not be classified as part of the Opportunity.

    ❓ Common Questions

    What's the difference between creating Opportunities manually vs Skye?
    Creating manually allows you to define exactly the problem, title, description, and inclusion/exclusion rules. Via Skye, the AI automatically analyzes feedback and suggests Opportunities based on patterns, trends, or recurring themes, speeding up the discovery process.

    Can I edit an Opportunity after it's created?
    Yes. You can change the title, description, and rules of an Opportunity at any time. Changes are applied immediately and associated feedback is updated according to the new definitions.
